Los Angeles Superior Court Archives Department - Large Format Artwork (Historical Photos, Los Angeles)
To add pleasing visual to a unit that is housed largely underground, the Archives Department at the Los Angeles Superior Court requested large format, gator board mounted prints of historic photos of Downtown Los Angeles. I have decided to showcase a mockup document to show the process taken to allow non-visual clients to be able to visualize installations such as this suite of large prints, and also to keep track of costs as they were calculated per surface area. This image documents the mockup for just one of the many areas in Archives that needed artwork to enhance the space. The blue and magenta boxes in the lower left allowed the client to gain a sense of surface area (at scale) for this area of the broader space. The final installation was, more or less, identical to the mockup shown here as the actual print files were used to create this visualization...
